Feedback from Harp in Scotland weekends:

“Great spirit! A lovely way of meeting harp players from all over the world, while sitting in your own home. Gave me a kickstart for practicing more again.” W.J.

“Thank you so much, I have had SUCH a happy weekend. Lockdown has brought with it the birth of some really lovely, special and heart-warming things and often creating an even more ‘together, inclusive and connected’ feeling than before. For me, this has been one of them. Right up there with the best. Thank you xx” A.S.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the variety of the music and tutors and the friendly atmosphere. Learning on zoom suits me well. I can join in (and out) according to my ability. The concert and the session were inspiring. I felt a was with like-minded people from around the world.” V.L.

“Thank you all for making the weekend so special! It was great fun! We learned super tunes and will have plenty of music to practice during the coming weeks. It was fascinating to chat with people from other countries. A special thank you to David for being on hand to help with any difficulties we had. A BIG THANK YOU Corrina for giving up so much of your time preparing and sending out all the details and music. I am so glad that all your planning was so successful!!! Looking forward very much to the next weekend!!” N.S.

“Thank you very much for a lovely weekend! You have done a great job and got us all in the harp-spirit again! Thanks to David, as well, who has been so patiently there for us the whole weekend. And thanks to your daughter for letting you bring so much joy to the world!!! 😊 I really appreciate her patience! Online workshops might be playing a big role in future learning, even after corona, and you made a great start doing this!” W.J.

“I really enjoyed this weekend and must congratulate you again for your hard work! The organisation was spotless, the tutors were all inspiring, the content super interesting, and it was so lovely to 'meet' new people after nearly a year stuck at home. I would definitely love to take part if you decide to do it again :)” F.B.

“I liked the impromptu whole group warm-up at the beginnings of some sessions, relevant to all levels. That could become a feature. No one will want to miss it. Don’t know if was planned but there was a good balance of tune styles across the eight tunes. Excellent teaching and good fun, don’t have reservations about the process, just join in.” S.B

“As this was my first workshop with someone other than Cheyenne I approached it with some trepidation. My reservations were soon dispelled by Corrina’s welcoming approach on the Friday night introduction and then subsequently going into the breakout rooms to chat with a small group of other harp players of varying skill levels. This, I thought, was an excellent idea. From my perspective the timetable was very well structured and the time allocation just right and one didn’t feel too rushed. The tutors were ever so friendly with such a positive outlook and I marvelled at their patience and fortitude! A most enjoyable, if tiring, weekend that has given me renewed hope and confidence to progress with the harp!” R.C.

“It was an absolutely fantastic weekend. You made me, everyone feel welcome, and brought light in trying times. Sometimes I heard one of you say it was strange to be playing alone, but for me it didn’t feel alone at all. All together playing and laughing. Great fun and learning at the same time. Thanks ever so much.” M.R.
